Take a hot bath.
Why it works: Not only can a hot bath relieve the tension caused by stress, it can actually help reduce stress by lowering stress hormones.

Journaling.
Why it works: Journaling can have many benifits. One of my favorite things about it is being able to take the thoughts in my brain and put them somewhere else. This really reduces stress and helps me know I won't forget anything and I can come back to it when I'm ready.

Listen to your favorite music.
Why it works: Music can really have a strong influence on our mood, put something on that makes you feel good! Bonus points if you dance around the kitchen and sing!

Spend time in nature.
Why it works: It doesn't matter if you're hiking, camping, having a fire, swimming, laying out in the sun on a beach and so many other things you can do outside, its all going to help you reconnect with yourself and be more mindful.

Yoga.
Why it works: Yoga is my favorite physical activity because it does everything in one, builds muscle, improves balance and improves flexibility and integrates not only the physical aspect but also breathing techniques and meditation. This helps reduce overall stress.
