Acadia National Park Elopement: Chris + Kelsey

Acadia is, in our opinion, one of the most beautiful landscapes New England has to offer.
Chris and Kelsey picked Otter Cliff, right off of Park Loop Road, as their location to elope and it was nothing short of stunning. The views of trees lining the coast and the mountains behind you are breathtaking and makes for a perfect backdrop to tie the knot. They had their ceremony at 9AM and the fog had just rolled in. If you know us, you know that Virginia also eloped in Acadia National Park on a rainy, fog filled day! The way the fog intertwines with evergreen trees is magical and feels like something out of a magazine.
When the time came for Chris and Kelsey, we all gathered on the Cliff and waited for their moment to come. They gave the honor of officiating to one of their best friends, Kat, who also happens to be Olivia’s girlfriend! Surrounded by only their closest friends and family, Chris and Kelsey said I do! After being showered with congratulations from their guests, Chris and Kelsey ran off with Olivia to take some photos, really showcasing their love and the beautiful views in Acadia.
After wandering around Otter Point we headed to Thuya Gardens. Kelsey is a huge plant girl so we knew that going there would not only be beautiful for photos, but a fun way for them to spend this time together! Walking around the grounds, they were able to enjoy each other’s presence.
When the photos came to an end Kelsey and Chris joined all their guests at Stewman's Lobster Pound in downtown Bar Harbor to celebrate the big day. When all the reveling was done the couple headed back out towards their ceremony location to read private vows to each other.
Acadia National Park is an incredible location to exchange vows for so many reasons. For us, being in nature sparks our creativity and seeing couples spend their wedding day in an intimate setting fuels our soul. When you say "I Do", remember that this day is about you and your person. If you're the type of person who wants a more intimate day we'd love to help bring your vision to life! Acadia is just one of the many places you can choose to elope, but it's our personal favorite.
