Go sking or snowboarding
There's plenty of places to go skiing. Cannon Mountain is located in Franconia Notch. There's also Wildcat Mountain just north of North Conway in Jackson. There's also Loon Mountain in Lincoln just south of Franconia Notch.
GO HIKING
Hiking in the White Mountains is absolutely breathtaking in the winter months. We highly recommend hiking the Flume Gorge. It's a bit more challenging in the winter but totally worth it. There is also no reservations or fees from November to April.
TAKE THE WINTER TRAIN
They have the snow train which is a great option for a quick trip, this one lasts 55 mins. There is also the Winter Mountaineer that goes through Crawford Notch and lasts about 4 hours. These are both nice scenic ride options for a winter trip. For more info click here.
Snowcoach Tours
If you want to head to the tree line on Mount Washington for beautiful winter views this is a super cool adventure to go on! They take you up 4200 feet in their snowcoach! You have the option to snowshoe back down the auto road for anyone adventurous enough! Learn more here
